A natural amine, C5H15NO2, often classed in the vitamin B complex and a constituent of many other biologically important molecules, such as acetylcholine and lecithin.

The functions of choline: transmission of nerves impulses, moderating of gall bladder, liver function, production of lecithin. It removes excess fat in the liver, assisting the production of hormone, Lack of choline may cause damage to the brain function and memory. It is beneficial to diseases of the nerves like Parkinson's disease and secondary motor disturbance. Lack of choline may cause fatty liver.
