Cautions:
注意﹕
The
effective dosage is very close to toxic dosage. Five or six
pieces of fruit can cause death. Children taking 0.3~0.4 g
had
experience toxic reactions. 2~4 g had caused death.
川楝子有效劑量接近中毒的劑量。五﹐六顆川楝子可為致死劑量。小兒服 0.3~0.4 克
曾經有中毒記錄。 2~4 克 曾經有致死記錄。
Note: chuan lian zi means lian zi produced
in Sichuan province of China.
Li Shi Zhen
mentioned in his works that lian zi produced
in Sichuan are the best. So all lian zi sold in
the Chinese herb stores are called chuan lian
zi. Ku lian zi literally means bitter lian zi.
