Actions & Indications: 主治﹕ | Being used in febrile diseases resulting in headache, delirium, manic behavior, rash, vomiting of blood, nose bleeding, convulsion of children, painful and swollen throat. For skin allergy: grind with water and apply to affected area. It is suitable where heat is high resulting in purpura and different types of bleeding. It is not suitable for bleeding due to pixu (spleen deficient) . 治熱病頭痛，發 高 熱 神昏，斑疹，吐血 ﹐ 鼻 衄，小兒驚風，喉痺咽腫。 用 水 研 磨 ﹐ 外 敷 治 皮 膚 過 敏 反 應 。 水牛角適 用 於 熱 盛 而迫血妄行的皮下血斑等多種 出血。因 脾虛，脾不统血的皮下血斑、牙龈出血者，則 不 可 用水牛角止血。 |

Dosage: 用量﹕ | - Internal consumption with grinding with water: 6 to 15 g.
- In decoction: 30 to 120 g, or
- Make into pill or powder form
- External use: grind with water and apply to affected areas.
- 内服: 磨汁或研末，6～15 克 ；
- 煎湯 ，30 ~ 120 克 ；或
- 人丸、散。
- 外用: 磨汁塗 患 處 。

Toxicity & Cautions: 毒素與禁忌﹕ | A small number of patients, after taking this herb, showed discomfort of the stomach, flatulence, diarrhea, nausea, or insomnia. Not to use during pregnancy. Not to use where there is no heat or in cases of pixu (spleen deficient) . 少数病人服用後 出現 胃部不 適 、腹 部 脹 、腹瀉 、惡 心 等。亦有少数病人出现失眠。 孕婦慎用。 非實 熱 者不宜用。脾虛者不宜使用。 |
