Xue Yu, Blood Stasis 血淤  (in English and Chinese 中英文)

Xue yu (blood stasis) is a term used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Xue yu may indicate micro clots in the circulatory system.

Clinical symptoms may include:

  • Amnesia.

  • Anxiety, or uneasiness, fit of temper

  • Bleeding: Coughing out blood, vomiting blood, blood in urine, blood in stool, heavy bleeding during menopause, nose bleeding, gum bleeding, general bleeding in some part of the body.

  • Capillaries on nose and face showing

  • Chronic chest pain

  • Dementia.

  • Depression

  • Extremes of the body: fingers, toes, and lips show purple in color

  • Fever (mild) gradually appears at dusk

  • Fullness: Persistently feeling fullness in the head, eyes, body and limbs.

  • Hiccups endlessly

  • Insomnia

  • Lips are dark or dark eyes

  • Numbness in limbs and/or body.

  • Palpitation

  • Pain and aches, the pain feels as if pricking with needles and with fixed location

  • Pulse reading: Traditional Chinese pulse reading is hong (a most important item), uneven pulse or tight, tense pulse.

  • Purpura

  • Skin is rough and scaly.

  • Tongue shows dark red, or dark blue or green color with bruise mark

  • Tumors or swollen body parts

  • Veins under the tongue puffy and twisted

Laboratory tests:

May show:

  • High in platelet counts.

  • Low in platelet counts.

  • Blood cell coagulation.

  • High or very low in prothrombin Time test.

  • High or very low in INR test

  • Oversized red cells.

  • Sickle shape red cells.

  • High in homocysteine in blood.

  • High in cholesterol.

  • High in triglycerides.

  • High in ESR

Note: not all symptoms or test results are present.

Warning: Unless you are well trained and have experience do not attempt to solve this condition by trial and error. Serious injuries can result from incorrect usage.

  • 健忘,

  • 焦慮不安。

  • 脾氣不好。

  • 出血: 咳血,吐血,血尿,便血,月經出血多,更年期大量出血,鼻出血, 牙齦出血,身體一般出血。

  • 鼻與臉部之微血管顯明。

  • 長期胸口疼痛。

  • 癡呆。

  • 憂鬱。

  • 手指,足趾,口唇發紫。

  • 微微發熱並於漸漸近黃昏時熱度漸漸增高。

  • 頭,眼,身體,四肢常有脹滿感覺。

  • 不停打嗝。

  • 失眠。

  • 口唇,眼睛發黑。

  • 四肢與身體麻木。

  • 心悸。

  • 疼痛,於固定位置像針刺感覺。

  • 脈象 結代或弦。

  • 紫癜。

  • 皮膚粗糙或有鱗片。

  • 舌頭顯示暗紅色或暗藍色或綠色的瘀痕。

  • 腫瘤或身體有些部位腫脹。

  • 舌頭下面靜脈浮腫和扭曲張。




  • 血小板高。

  • 血小板指数低 。

  • 血細胞凝固。

  • 凝血酵素原時間高或非常低。

  • 國際標准化比值高或非常低。

  • 超大紅細胞。

  • 鐮狀紅細胞。

  • 同型半胱氨酸高。

  • 高膽固醇。

  • 高甘油三酯。

  • 血沉降率高
