藥理﹕

1. diuretic effect: hypodermic injection on white mice and white rats or the water decoction of this herb did not have diuretic effect.[1]
2. the diuretic effect is from the chemical ingredient ergone, which can vary from habitat to habitat [2]
3. anti tumor effect  hot water decoction of this herb possesses anti murine cancer cell line S-180. Its main effective ingredient is β -1, 3-glucan

1.  利 尿 作 用 -- 本 品 水 抽 取 物 對 小 白 鼠 或 大 白 鼠 經 口 給 藥 或 皮 下 注 射 無 利 尿 作 用 。[1]
2. 利尿作用的化學成份麥角酰胺，因產地不同而含量相差很大【2】
3. 抗 腫 瘍 作 用 -- 本 品 熱 水 抽 取 物 對 小 白 鼠 有 抗 肉 瘤 S-180 作 用 ， 主 要 作 用 成 分 為 β -1, 3-聚 葡 糖 ( β -1, 3-glucan ) 。 【1】

主治﹕

水腫，腎盂炎水腫，小便不利，尿痛，急性尿道炎， 糖尿病，白濁帶下，熱性病口渴，泄瀉。

現代研究﹕

豬苓的利尿作用的化學成份麥角酰胺，因產地不同而含量相差很大。其含量由2.13±0.02 to 59.17±0.05 µg/g.[2]
