Liver Stagnation (gan yu) 肝鬱

Liver Stagnation (gan yu) is a traditional Chinese medical term.

The syndromes include red tongue with thin white fur, unable to

ejaculate, low in libido, bulging pain in the rib cage and lower

abdomen, tightness in the chest, frequent sighing, stringy pulse,

emotional fluctuation. Women can have pain during menstrual cycles,

irregular menses, distending pain in the breasts.

Liver stagnation sufferers have low immune function. It can be due to

the imbalance of cAMP and cGMP and over production of cortisol.

 

症狀﹕性交時不能射精，伴情志憂鬱，寡言少歡，胸脅脹滿，

嘆息不舒，性慾低下，舌紅苔薄白，脈弦。婦女月經不調﹐

經痛, 乳脹。

 

肝鬱證患者的免疫功能低下。可能與環核苷酸的代謝紊亂、

以及糖皮質激素分泌過多。
